From Mobile Ad-hoc Network to Edge Data Mesh

Large-scale unmanned swarms impose high demands on ad hoc communication networks. This report, starting from the integrated design of the physical, network, and service layers, provides an ad hoc data grid architecture that is large-scale, low-cost, anti-interference, and capable of flexibly scheduling resources such as transmission, computing, and data.

Biography of the Speaker

Yu Quan, researcher of the Information Support Force, Director of the Key Laboratory of Information Security, Head of the Steering Expert Group of the Major Research Plan "Fundamental Theories and Key Technologies of Space Information Networks" of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Founding Editor-in-Chief of the *Journal of Communication and Information Networks*, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Institute of Command and Control, IEEE Fellow, and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He was honored as "National Outstanding Science and Technology Worker" in 1997, received the "Qiushi Outstanding Young Scientist Award" from the China Association for Science and Technology in 1999, won the "9th China Youth Science and Technology Award" in 2006, was named a "China Youth May Fourth Medal Pacesetter" in 2008, and received the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation "Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress" in 2010. He was awarded the China Government Publishing Award in 2018. He has also received one First Prize and one Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, as well as five First Prizes and two Second Prizes of the PLA Science and Technology Progress Award.
